The BBA Leadership Development Program, founded in 1990, focuses on helping high-potential members of the Atlanta community become stronger, more authentic leaders, so they improve the quality of life for themselves, their families, their companies and the volunteer organizations they serve.
We are different from other leadership programs because we emphasize self-analysis, skills development and practice--essentially, LEARNING BY DOING. The success of our methods can be seen in our graduates who hold leadership positions in companies and organizations across metropolitan Atlanta.
The Program runs October through May. Classes include two weekend retreats and six half-day monthly sessions. Class members practice what they learn by serving as a facilitator for one of the meetings during the year following their class. Class themes have included:
- Values
- Ethics
- Contentment
- Mastering Change
- Simplicity
- Mentoring
- Legacy
- Stewardship
Many of our class members are drawn from those who work, live or spend leisure time in Buckhead. We also actively recruit from the diverse communities throughout the metropolitan Atlanta area. The class is chosen in a highly competitive and in-depth selection process based on leadership experience, community involvement and essay responses.
